Adobe Vector Illustrations

Drawing programs can use either vector or raster graphics to formulate a shape. Raster images are those created using pixels and are not scalable with losing image quality. Vector images are created with mathematical formulas and can be scalable to any size with the loss of quality. The advantage to vector created imagery is that the image can be scaled up or down at any time and edited without any lose of quality at all. Also, file size can be kept at a minimum with Adobe vector illustrations. Raster, also known as bitmap imagery, cannot be scaled once the shape is drawn or else loss of quality will result. When you view vector graphics on screen, you are seeing the graphic as pixels, but the drawing was not created with pixels so quality will not suffer when the image is scaled.

The most advanced vector drawing program in the world is Adobe Illustrator. This drawing program is used by professional illustrators around the world as the preferred program to draw. Knowing how to draw in Illustrator is a real pleasure, some regard drawing in Illustrator an enjoyable hobby, while others regard the program as an effective tool to create Adobe vector illustrations.
